SFUSThe Basic Balance Master® provides objective assessment and retraining of the sensory and voluntary motor control of balance with visual biofeedback. The System utilizes an 18" x 18" fixed dual forceplate to measure the vertical forces exerted by the patient's feet.

Objective Assessment Protocols

The interactive technology and clinically proven protocols allow the clinician to objectively assess patients performing tasks essential to daily living. The objective data aids the clinician in effective treatment planning decisions.

The Basic Balance Master includes the following standardized assessment protocols:

Systematic Training Protocols

Interactive, functional training exercises using visual biofeedback, coupled with sensitive, real-time monitoring of movement motivates patients to achieve better balance control faster. Exercise protocols available on the Basic Balance Master can be tailored to meet individual patient needs and can be progressed as the patient's capabilities improve.

The following training protocols are available on the Basic Balance Master:

  • Seated balance/strength training
  • Standing balance/weight bearing training
  • Closed chain training

Tasks can be adapted and/or enhanced with the standard foam pad included with the System or with optional System Accessories.

Automated Documentation

The System automatically documents all assessments and training sessions for verification of patient progress and functional outcome. NeuroCom®, a division of Natus® automated reports.
